St. Aloysius' College, Ratnapura proudly hosted VERTEX 2026, its annual Technology Day, on 5th August 2026, providing an inspiring platform to celebrate innovation, digital transformation, and student excellence.

The event commenced with the Inter-School ICT Quiz Competition, which welcomed enthusiastic participants from several brother and sister schools. The competition fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and ICT knowledge in a spirit of healthy rivalry.
After an exciting and closely contested series of rounds, Seevali Central College emerged as the champions. St. Aloysius' College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the winning team and sincere appreciation to every participating school for contributing to the success of the competition.

One of the most significant milestones of VERTEX 2026 was the official launch of the new St. Aloysius' College website, ceremonially unveiled by the Principal. This landmark achievement represents a major step forward in the school's digital journey, creating a modern platform to strengthen communication with students, parents, alumni, and the wider community while showcasing the school's achievements and heritage.

The celebration continued with an Innovation Exhibition, where students presented a diverse collection of creative projects, technological innovations, engineering concepts, and practical solutions. The exhibition reflected the students' imagination, technical skills, and commitment to solving real-world challenges through innovation.

Adding further excitement to the day, the Student Talent Show highlighted the diverse artistic abilities of Aloysians. Through music, dance, drama, and other performances, students demonstrated confidence, creativity, and teamwork, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
